5 Holiday Gift Ideas
I remember as a kid talking to my parents about what I wanted for Christmas. My mom telling me what I needed, “new socks, underwear, snow boots, etc.,” and my dad responding with “Don’t give her what she NEEDS, give her what she WANTS!” Thank you Dad. Those are some words of holiday wisdom I’ve carried with me ever since. So let’s forget about what we need this year, and when your loved ones ask you what you want for the holidays, tell them! And in case for some crazy reason you’re having trouble figuring that part out, here’s a little help ;)
1. Momma wants a brand new bag
I saw this bag on Tory Burch’s Instagram page and immediately texted it to my husband….fingers crossed right? It’s a perfect mid-size handbag that can be worn every day or for a night out because of the gorgeous gold leather. It’s also a cross-body bag which, for all the mom’s out there, is a must.
2. Shoes for day, shoes for night
I turn to cute sneakers on a daily basis given my line of work. I am more productive when I’m comfortable, aren’t you? I’ve honestly never owned so many comfy flats in my life. When I saw these Sam Edleman sneaks, I had to have them! But of course, they were sold out already! So I hopped online and snagged them in my size as soon as I got home (oops-so much for asking Santa)
Craving a festive shoe? Here you go… your hubby will love you in them too. And under $100!
3. A classic and feminine piece to keep forever
I spotted this darling watch while working a client’s event at Kate Spade. The bow, the sparkle, and the color- you’ll wear it every day. Check! This is definitely on my list.
4. Keep your Venti, Soy, Extra Hot, Gingerbread Spiced Latte HOT (or your Bud Light iced cold)
When I find a great product, I have to share it….YETI products are legit! This brand started in the outdoorsy market but has come mainstream and I endorse them all. They make great gifts for men and women, perhaps the cooler for your husband? Our friends brought theirs to the beach this year and our drinks were ice cold for days. (But they ain’t cheap!) If you’re looking for a more cost effective option, try the koozie or the tumbler and add a monogram to make it personal. You can find their custom shop here, but I also found a shop on etsy that will monogram in color like this.
5. Put a bow on it
Need a gift for a stylish friend? This large satin bow is perfect. It’s a pin and a clip so it can be worn in your hair or on your coat, blazer or bag. Keep your eyes peeled, I’ll be featuring this on #whatimwearingwednesdays soon.
